Causal AI & Science-Based GenAI
With over a decade of expertise and 15,000 people trained, I help organizations make smarter, evidence-based decisions with Causal AI & Science-Based GenAI.
Most AI today predicts what will happen but fails to explain why. That’s risky for high-stakes industries like pharma, banking, legal sector and tech, where bad decisions are costly and reliable information is key.
I bring scientific rigor to AI adoption, helping companies move beyond statistical guesswork to truly causal, data-driven decision-making.

“If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.”
In the era of AI and Machine Learning, these tools are often used as a hammer to solve every problem. While AI is profoundly useful and important, AI is not always the solution. Most importantly, AI is a powerful tool to recognize patterns but it is lacks understanding of the "Why?".
To make effective decisions, it is essential to know not just what will happen, but why it happens. Traditional AI is often limited by correlation-based insights, relying on vast amounts of historical data to predict future trends. However, without causation, these predictions may be biased or misguided.
Dr. Quentin Gallea has extensive experience in teaching statistics and causal inference to diverse audiences, from economists to participants in startup incubators, including medical researchers, engineers, and marketing experts. Over the last decade his practical approach has empowered over 10,000 people to apply causal thinking in their respective fields. His expertise has also been successfully implemented in research projects addressing timely and complex geopolitical challenges, such as the effect of COVID lockdowns on virus spread and the impact of weapons imports in Africa on migration flows and conflicts [more about his research here].
Quentin has several roles today. As the founder of The Causal Mindset, he provides independent advice, and teach in several universities and engineering schools (EPFL, University of Lausanne, Graduate Institute Geneva, ISM University of Management and Economics). In addition, Quentin is a senior advisor at Enlighten Advisory, offering his expertise to support strategic decisions.
